I have a customer that had a dead HD. I have ran both ontrack easy recovery pro and spinrite.
ontrack easy recovery pro ran for about 8hrs. But when it was done it crashed, only recovering a few files.
I had spinrite running for 3 days and it was only at the 5% mark. So I cancelled it.
When you try to access the drive in windows, windows asks if I want to reformat it.
What do I do?
My guess is to do a quick format and to then try to recover the data again. But does anyone have any other ideas or think that it's even worth attempting to recover data from this drive?
Thanks!
