IDE Cable length

Is there a minimum length for IDE cables?
And if not, is there someplace I can custom order 4-6" cables from?

I am google searching for this info, but someone might know here before I find it.

I don't think there's a minimum, or that it'd be as high as 6 inches. Try [http://www.stonewallcable.com/dept.asp?dept_id=122]here[/url] to order them, it's pretty expensive (about $20.50 for a 4") but it'll work.

Hmm, I might be better off buying the ends and cutting up some 24 inch cables then to make my own.
