I have my OEM XP Home SP2 slipstreamed on a CD-R and a COA. I am looking at a Home upgrade with another COA for my back-up system. Can I use the slipstreamed SP2 CD-R and the new COA (XP Home upgrade) without having to put an old OS during the upgrade verification process? I cannot find my Win. 98 disc anywhere.

TIA

My bottom line on that is wtf give it a try if it accepts the coa then its kosher BUT since upgrades are usually only avail as a retail product or a open license I'd wager that you've got a very slim chance of it working.. this is based on my assumption that your slipsteamed disc is based off of a OEM copy ..oem code keys work with oem..retail with retail..etc

Yes, I do have the OEM XP Home (SP1) media disk that I used to create the slip-streamed SP2 with. I was hoping that I would not have to use the Upgrade media as I cannot find a older OS that will be asked for with the Upgrade version; thus my question.
