Login change issues

Hi. I'm running XP Pro.

My system use to be stand-alone, and when I'd log onto my system everything was fine.

Now it's on a Domain and I'm having trouble with most of my programs. I can't access most of them, most of them won't run and I can't even update Norton under my Domain login. But I can under my previous login.

What do I need to change under my previous(system) login to give me the same access rights and privelidges that I need to have under my new(Domain) login???

It sounds like you need to give your domain user account local admin rights to the box.

Ok. And I would do that in the User Account settings in the Control Panel???

I am not sure about the control panel. The best way to do it is in the management console, under users and groups. You want to find the local admin group, and add your domain account to that group. The trick is, you have to do it from the local admin users account.

Nevermind, I found it.

It's in users and Groups. I had to add the "new" login and domain, then give it Admin priviledges.
