This probably doesn't help you but there are LAN's in Green Bay, bi-weekly, and sometimes there are what's called a Kick It Lan that usually has around 150+ people, that probably doesn't help too much but just saying.
Probably should have mentioned the website lol, www.gblan.com

Check www.lanpartymap.com for LANs, too. It's a cool little tool.

We might be having one in Sheboygan on May 27th...I'll try and post back more details. It's going to be +21 though.

My range so far has been from Chicago to Green Bay, and from Lake Michigan to Madison.

Kick It LAN in Green Bay isn't bi-weekly, that's HaXorLAN, a smaller 30 person event. Kick It LAN only happens 1-2 times a year.

In Madison, there's NOG - NetworkofGamers.com. I suggest you visit that site because they also list other LAN parties in the region.

I go to lanbash (lanbash.org) in Crystal Lake but that's closer to Chicago (inland).

In June there will be two large LANs. First is 6/10 Zion LAN (zionlan.net) and last year I think they had over 200 people. Zion is next to Lake Michigan just South of the Illinois border. The other one is MidWestLAN 6 (midwestlan.com) on 6/24 in Darien, WI. That one supposedly used to be a great event. The organization changed hands recently but they hope to start with a bang with the 6/24 100 seat LAN. IIRC they already have almost 50 people signed up. BTW I hope to attend both of these events.

Closer to home (mine at least) is a weekly LAN in Kenosha at Phoenix Gaming. Average attendance is 15-25 people every Friday night, from 9pm to Saturday 10am.

Strangely I haven't heard of any LANs in Milwaukee itself - not that there aren't any. I just haven't found one.

alkaline, which city do you live in? PM me if you want.

I have a few more details...The LAN has moved to the 27th...it will only be that day...no overnight thing. Not sure on costs yet.

Next Network of Gamers LAN in Madison will be first Saturday of June. I had a great time at the last one (unlike the lousy time at the Iron LAN in Whitewater a week ago).

the big crap shoot is a pretty good event.
it's in oshkosh.
i haven't been able to make it in a year or two... but they usually have 3 or 4 big events a year.

note:
it was previously in the eaa hanger, and then in a business in appleton called -springz- which failed miserably, so they are looking for a new area to hold the next event.

How big are their "big" events? It's 150 miles from me and not worth the drive for anything under 100 people.

hey all-

just interested to get to know some Madison gamers. I moved here in November from the San Diego area, and do most of my gaming with a friend in Mass. I'll keep an eye out for the Network of Gamers upcoming lans. Sounds good. Been playing some Fifa '06 lately, actually, but have run the gamut from AOE to CS. Prior to Fifa, we were playing a lot of Battlefield DC.

Anyway, hi to all the gamers on So. Wisc. Now back to trying to ebay my kidney so I can get a new vid card for Oblivion.

knobbicus, I also moved from SoCal to WI last year. I have relatives in Mira Mesa and near SDSU. What brings you out here?

The next Network of Gamers event is on 6/3 in Madison and will cost $10. I'm hoping to attend.

hey zap,

I was working for a biotech company out in Carlsbad and got RIF'ed. So we looked around for a nice place to live where we could buy a house, and decided on Madison. Good biotech community and good housing prices. It's nice to have a place of our own now. I miss the weather, sort of, and my kids miss Legoland, but it's been pretty awesome here so far. I doubt I'll be able to make NOG on 6/3, as I have a conference in Seattle that week, but if there is one later in the summer or in the fall, I'm definitely making plans. Ten bucks sounds like a good price to me. What do you guys play?

btw- the knobbicus nick comes from the motocross madness betas I was on for Microsoft forever ago. Knobby tires and so on. Just in case you're curious, I think it's kind of a weird nick, but hey, that's what nicks are for.

later,
knobbicus

We do LANs in the mequon/cedarburg area.

Our big 24hr is coming up, so show up. Typically we have 60+ people at the big annual lan, and 30 at the normal lans.

Admission is $5 and that includes unlimited soda.

knobbicus, I've only attended one other NOG event and they played UT2004, Quake 4, BF2, COD2 and CS (don't know :S or 1.6, didn't play). They also had a mouse throwing contest and a Mt Dew speed drinking contest, plus a Seeing Eye Dog contest which I won. As for other LANs...

I haven't been to any previous event for those two, but am hoping to make their next events.

I love Motocross Madness and MCM2. The guys I LAN game with in SoCal used to play MCM2 Moto Tag with tag ball - that was a blast!
