XBOX projection tv problem

I plugged my xbox into my sony projection tv (model kp43t70) to play some halo 2 big screen action.

However, when I start playing, my tv switched from color to black and white sorta like a bootleg vhs or something.

Is there a way to fix this? I'm using the cables that came with the xbox (the red,white,yellow one) if that's any help.

ok

you are not trying to push a HD signal over that are you? If so that would be your issue as composite does not allow for HD.
 
similar symptoms can also crop up if you're trying to use a PAL xbox on an NTSC tv or vice versa. Not so sure that that would be the case tho.
 
no im not pushing an hd signal over the composite cables is there a setting on the xbox for ntsc/pal?
