How do i make my rear speakers louder than front speakers?

is there a utility or program i can use to lower the volume of my front speakers? the way my room is set up, the rear speakers are like 15-20 feet behind me and the front speakers are less than 2 feet in front of me. when playing games, i can't even distinguish between the front or speakers (as if something was behind me).

yea just something like fading to the rear.

my a8n comes with realtek alc850

use nvidia's drivers and nvmixer, drop the front speakers volume down 25% and turn up your master volume... enjoy :)

i use the asus utility which doesn't have that (i don't want to switch to the nvidia utility). but i'm looking for something exactly like the nvmixer...i guess if worst comes to worst i'll install taht.

Im really supprised your audio drivers didnt come with any support for that (I assume you are using onboard?)
