Time for the first LAN in 2006. Ask around, Lans at my place are a blast. I post mostly at the Anandtech Forums, but was asked to spill the news over here as well. So here it is the first Lan of 2006 at my place.
Way back 3-4 years ago I posted about my basement and the setup that I was shooting for. My place is wired for Lan's up to 40 people. So no power or Lan issues!!!
You can crash at my place over the weekend. Bring a sleeping bag and a towel if you plan to shower.
The rules:
Cover charge is $25 (That includes a Pizza run on Sat.)
You must be 18. 21 if you plan to have a drink (We plan to concentrate on gaming, not drinking)
Only register and say you come if you really know you can
A working computer (for your benefit, try to make sure you computer doesn't crash every 5 min)
A drink of your choice if you need something special. I will have some basics. (We will have a cooler or two)
Bring a snack of your choice. Again I will provide some basics
A sleeping bag if you decide to crash till Sun and a towel for the shower
Games you will likely need, but are not a must:
HL2 Deathmatch
Warhammer (Winter Assault)
Call of Duty: United Offensive (Make sure you bring your COD Disk)
BF2
Battlefield Vietnam
Whatever else is fun
Prizes so far:
Hard Drive
DVD-RW
