Via UB or PCMCIA? Which way is the best?

Can anyone recomend any devices? I have seen a few reviews on Newegg and other sites, but a good deal of them say that the power supply for the hard drive molex burns out the hard drive.

So I would like to avoid that problem and get a adapter that will just work.

PS: I'm not interested in a external enclosur as I want to test multiple drives one right after the other and a enclosure would not exactly fit into my laptop bag.

Thanks

No such adapter that you're looking for that I've heard of....Someone might have cobbled one together at some point, but I've not seen it. You're probably looking at a homebrew solution.

Newegg has USB devices that I'm interested in, so does compgeeks.com

Ebay has the PCMCIA adapters.

But i dont trust any of them.

PCMCIA Version W/O Power Adapter Where would I get the AC adapter?
