awesome deals!

on a side note, can I ask you a favor Newegg Webmaster? I don't know if it's possible, but I'm in dire need of a shallow DVD drive.. I'd say something about 5-6 inches deep... I don't know if something like this exists..

Thanks for your help!

You guys have had some great deals on the Ritek double-layer. I think I got a 25-pack for $29, which was just awesome. Would like to see that one again! ;)

Here, I will answer you. I haven't used a super huge amount of hardware, but Lite-on drives are the most shallow 5.25" form factor drives I have used. Not quite square, but close. If I was at home, I would measure (and may just do so when I get there).

Regarding the deals, thanks. Too bad the good deals are MIR.

Edit: Read two posts below for depth. Also, my LG GSA-4167B is the same depth.

Perhaps a dual slim line dvd adapter and drive, like that discussed in this thread http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1002519
but FYI the cost of the adapter is cheap, but the drives will run $80+

:p

Checked on liteon.com, they all seem to be 6.7" (170mm) deep.
