Only thing i don't like is the fans in the side window.

Once i go water cooling they will be gone :) The fans look better in person then they do in the pics but i agree it would look cleaner without them but the x800xt and 3400 get to hot with out them. Took a bit of volts to get them stable @those speeds.

I am thinking of painting the outside gloss white and mounting plexi over the top, side and front panels using the same hex screws i used to mount the fans with. So the case would kinda resemble Sapphire's Pure Innovation motherboard

Yeah 108 CFM louder then a jet engine taking off when both are turned up full blast. Lol it can levitate a couple of inches off the ground. Make your self a hover craft with them :p

looks great man.

dont mean to be picky but do you thiink there is away to mount the top fan other than with those screws through the grill? the silver screws look very out of place on top of the red grill. if you cant hid them i say when your all done paint them to match the grill.

If i paint them 2 would be red the other 2 because they go through the panel would have to be the same color as the case. Not sure how to hide them i could get smaller screws so they dont stick out as much.

I will post more pics later.

When taking apart the fans do I just remove the small plastic ring on the backside of the fan?

looks really nice. what tool did you use to cut the lian li aluminum? dremel?

did you use the cut off wheels or the grinding bits? also did you use any kind of straight end or do you have a very steady hand?

gun metal looks sweet.

vdragonlance
01-15-2006, 10:13 PM
I used a dremel with cut off wheels with a set of files. I have a pretty steady hand but its kinda hard to cut small round curves like that with a dremel. I spent more time using the files to round and smooth out the cuts then cutting out the logo.

I accidently steped on my power button breaking it :( anyone have a lian li power button laying around they dont want? :D How hard is it to replace LEDs? just remove the old ones and solder on the new ones?
