A friend called me over to find out why his system was crashing over and over all the time. Windows XP loaded and there was the "The system has recovered from a serious error" message. So much could be happening behind that serious error message so it's difficult for me to pinpoint the problem. His Windows XP has no viruses or spyware and from what I can see, his system is very organized. I suspect a hardware failure. I know there a debugging program that one of you guys may have. I don't thus the reason asking for help. ;)

Could not find sysdata.xml in search.

That's pretty much all I have. I have no access to the debugger (nor do I admittedly know how to use one) so I hope you guys can help me out. :) Thanks.

1000008e... in most cases it is a hardware issue due to drivers, so I would start off making sure that the drivers are updated, usually vid card the main culprit, or it's the BIOS or chipset. So looking at the the dump, we are dealing with an ATI video card and a
Asrock K7S41GX motherboard which uses the SiS741GX chipset. So I would tackle those first, if driver/BIOS updates don't work, then focus on hardware itself, if new hardware was installed recently, check that out, also it would be a good idea to run memtest to rule out memory and a hard drive diag program to rule out your hard drive also.

If that don't fly, run "sfc" at command prompt to make sure windows system are not corrupted or jacked by some virus/spyware ect..
